It may be more comfy with their special foam and if I was more patient I might have ordered red piping and SV logo instead of the standard silver.Go to any motorcycle racing club, and you will surely see a fleet of Suzuki SV650 race bikes. One of the links I posted lets you configure the seat. The only thing else I will be putting on for a while is miles. ![]() I am now pretty satisfied with the bike as it sits. If I had not found this one, I would have stayed with my stock seat and the Airhawk. This is not my touring bike so I was not going to pay $550 for a seat. The Corbin "butt pocket" may be more comfortable. I can't see it not being better than the factory plank but I have no idea how it compares to the Corbin/Holeshot seats. I can't promise this will be comfortable to you. I did find out that Bagster has been around for quite some time making tank covers, luggage, and seats, mostly for the European market.Įverybody's butt is different. Adding 1/5 of an inch of "tuck/roll" foam to the stock shape really isn't much of a change. ![]() It ought to be added comfort for the non height challenged rider. The option seat shouldn't be another cut down, "lets see how low we can get the seat height" seat with different styling. This is what the OEM option seat ought to be in my opinion. Takes more of a pull to get it off but that also means a firmer attachment. If I left it alone, probably the rubber bumpers would have taken a set and loosened up the fit a bit over time. The steel latch loop is molded into the plastic so the only adjustment is to file it a bit, so I did. Had to push down pretty hard to latch it. It's all I could find that is small enough not to hang over the seat.īuild quality is good but not amazing. That is a cheesy Chinese made pack strapped onto the pillion section to hold a camera, snacks, and stuff to clean bugs off my visor. It nestles right into my lower back and feels great. I love the feeling of that nearly vertical bum stop when I accelerate or am going fast. The factory seat after an hour felt like someone had been pounding my perch bones with a rubber hammer. I just start moving around a bit and can ride for another hour or more but I would rather get off and stretch anyway. The discomfort that sets in after an hour or so is the normal type my bony butt gets from any seat. None of mine are couch comfortable for hours and hours. The seat comfort is pretty much a normal motorcycle seat to me. A bit more legroom and a comfortable sporty reach to the bars. The riding position with my bum against the stop feels much more natural to my 6 foot frame. As you can see from the side view, the foam is at least twice as thick as the factory seat. Hopefully I will take this one out for a couple hours tomorrow. Judging by looks, I don't see that the Corbin one is really a better shape and it's hard for me to justify over $550 for a seat. 80 mile ride and my butt hurt for a week. The only bike I've owned with a worse seat was my XR650L and that was actually way worse. I don't see how it can help but be more comfortable than the stock one. There is only so much you can do with the way the seat sits on the rear subframe. It still slopes slightly toward the tank but it doesn't feel that way when you sit on it. They filled in the scooped out part to create a pretty much flat section to where the seat pan tilts up drastically and then the put a large-ish bum stop there to create another fairly flat section for a passenger. Changing the oil and it was getting dark outside so you have harsh setting sun and garage overhead.
